Russia complains that sanction against Iran might be effective.
Russia complains that sanctions against Iran to discourage nuclear proliferation would be stifling. Isn’t that the whole point? Iran’s people have to choose a cooperative place in the world economy and standard of living that comes with it, or follow a dictator into what’s likely to be the next world conflict.
Unions kill jobs.

There are many reasons why a worker may not want to join a union, including the fact that union dues can cost as much as 2 percent of each paycheck. But the biggest argument likely is that unionization could make your job disappear. As this chart from The Heritage Foundation shows, during the past 30 years, most manufacturing job losses came at unionized firms.

More bad news for Obama.
When your own panel says you’re doing it wrong, you know it’s going to be a long day.
“The U.S. must broaden its tax base and lower rates.” That would be in direct opposition to Obama’s tax the rich more class warfare model.
“The U.S. must… extract more coal, oil and natural gas” Also in direct opposition to Obama’s tax and regulate oil refineries, gas producers, and coal miners out of business model. You’ll notice a lack of “green” energy recommendations. That’s due to the complete un-competitiveness of the technologies. They in fact are part of our economic problem.
“The U.S. must… boost government research and development to revive the economy and stay competitive” First mistake. We do need to boost research and development, but in the private sector where the money is used efficiently. It’s an understandable mistake; government bureaucrats always think the answer is government.
““The economic recovery has to be driven by the private sector,” Obama said in his opening remarks at the session.” There must be an election coming, Obama’s talking republican. Is that an admission that the past 3 years of unprecedented government expansion and excess were a complete failure and waste of trillions of dollars? Of course not, just a smokescreen to get reelected before continuing his failed policies.
Obama’s keystone obstructionism.
Obama’s going to try to claim that he doesn't have the time to properly review the keystone pipeline before the February 31st deadline. It’s a load of manure. The administration has been dragging their feet for THREE YEARS. Obama doesn't want to vote on it, because he plans to vote against it, irritating not just his liberal union voters, but all Americans by continuing his 0 jobs and high fuel prices economic strategy. He already knows his answer, he just doesn't want to face the consequences so he’s trying to weasel out of the jam, and stifle the economy in the meantime, if not permanently.

I thought we had ice caps melting and polar bears drowning? The folks in Alaska are complaining that it’s colder than normal. Get a grip enviro-mental-ists, you can’t predict a 1 degree difference in a dozen years when the weather forecaster can’t predict the weather a week away. BTW, I don’t know that you can drown a polar bear. Last I heard they’ve been known to swim as much as 100 miles.
Juan Williams, wrong again.
Juan falls for race baiting, again. Elections, age, polls, obamacare, immigration, and voter fraud are all really about race apparently. Not sure how America has a black president with 86.4% of the population being non-black racists… or how preventing demonstrated voter fraud with ID requirements is racist… or how age is based on race… maybe Juan will explain it in his next article.
Obama is franticly looking for way to avoid Keystone pipeline vote.
Bad things happen when you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Obama is caught between labor unions that he promised jobs, and environmentalist that he promised nothing but “green” energy. Obama is frantically looking for any excuse to push the decision off until after the 2012 election. I guess jobs aren’t his priority. Can you guess which way he’s going to vote?
Liberals misunderstanding M.L. King.
Poverty is worse today than it was back in the day? What are you smoking? “Poverty” today is defined as two cars per household, multiple color televisions with cable TV, and a cell phone for each member of the household. That would have been upper class in MLK’s day. Some people totally misunderstand MLK. He said people should be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. He did not say they should not be judged, or should get a free ride. He dreamed of “equality of opportunity”, word for word, not equality of outcome regardless of effort. The American dream is to get a job and create a family, and to have you children do better than you. If you can’t find a job, you create one. Sitting on welfare or unemployment for years indicates YOU are the problem, not America. There’s no shortage of businesses looking for GOOD workers. If you have no skills, or have antiquated skills, you retrain. Thankfully we live in America, where such opportunities abound. If you’re not a good worker, are unwilling to train/retrain yourself, and won’t create a job, you’ve earned your poverty.
SOPA, unnecessary bureaucracy with irresponsible stifling of freedom, innovation, and the free market.
Generally I agree. Let the market fix it. Piracy is already illegal. Enforce the laws on the books instead of adding bureaucracy, red tape, limiting freedom, and stifling competition.
