Politico claims the Tea Party “threatened to inflict intentional harm on innocent Americans if their political demands weren't met. They knew a default or downgrade would murder the markets — and the retirement savings of many Americans — and exploited that potential harm as a negotiating "weapon of mass destruction."” Our credit rating will be downgraded due to the ever increasing debt, which is exactly what the Tea Party was fighting against. When that statement proves to be true who will politico blame? Republicans for refusing tax increases would be my guess. The correct answer, however, is the drunken spending spree that’s gone on under Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
